Strange

This was a little weird and somewhat creepy. It's 2:45 am and I am sitting here going through pics and posting them on Flickr when I heard a dog barking right outside our house. The front light is on a sensor and it was lit, so I got up to check. Sure enough, there's a dog on the front lawn barking at something. For my own sanity, I am hoping it was just a cat and not a person because whatever it was, was hiding under my next door neighbor's truck in the driveway pissing off this dog. We have a few dogs in the neighborhood and as far as I know, they are all locked up or inside for the night, well, this one was not. To top it all off this dog was a Rottweiler! Who the hell has a loose Rottweiler? As a matter of fact, I don't think I have ever seen one in the neighborhood before. Ugh.

Update!!! (3:14am)

Not only was the dog outside our door, it STILL IS! I just heard a thud at the front door, saw the light on and went to see what the hell it was. It was the dog who just happened to plop itself down right infront of the door acting like it's protecting us or something. This dog is not letting anything in OR out of the house tonight.

Not only do we have an alarm on the house, now we have a guard dog! It's still making me wonder what the dog is after and why it's loose.

Another Update!!! (1:13pm)

Well, the dog never left our house at all. I went to get the mail, opened the door, grabbed the first handful and all was good. When I came back to the door BOOM there he was sitting there wagging his tail and looking pretty damn cute. He's just a puppy with HUGE paws. His name is Jake and he lives around here, but there is no number that we can contact and he isn't licensed. We didn't want to take the chance of containing him to find the address (as friendly as he looks), so he will be picked up by animal control this afternoon and they will get a hold of the owners. I feel sorry for the puppy and I hope the owners notice he's missing. I still can't figure out why he chose our house to hang out at seeing that we don't have a dog, we have an indoor cat. Oh well.

This is Jake.
