Well, now that the Holidays are said and done. I, for one, am tired. Santa was pretty good to us all especially Lucas, who just happens to be HUGE into BoohBah ...oh my does he ever lose his mind over them. As soon as the show starts he's screaming "BOOHBAH BOOHBAH BOOHBAH" and laughing his butt off.
For those of you who have never had the opportunity to enjoy the Boohbah experience, I will tell you a little about them.
The Boohbahs, five magical atoms of power, light and fun travel in their Boohball around the world, from child to child. The Boohbahs represent the imaginative power and light, which allows children to control the screen action by the use of the magic word "Boohbah". So they send presents into an imaginary Storyworld for the Storypeople; Grandmamma, Grandpappa, Mrs Lady, Mr Man, Brother and Sister, Auntie and Little Dog Fido to play with and make a story in partnership with them. Children connect with Humbah, Zumbah, Zing Zing Zingbah, Jumbah and Jingbah, and are encouraged to actively participate and enjoy the funny dance and movement routines, making it a truly energetic and interactive television experience.
The cool thing about this show is THEY DON'T TALK! Unlike the Teletubbies, etc. However, they do have a bunch of little high pitched noises that they dance and react to, which I guess makes sense seeing as they are balls of energy. So my advice to any parent of a young one, BUY A PORTABLE DVD PLAYER!!! Where the volume is low, but the kids can have the same fun and you can watch your regular TV programs without pulling out your hair. Personally, it doesn't matter how cute a kids show is, it starts to grate on you after a while. Save your sanity!!!
