Pondering...

I have been sitting here for a while now wanting to get back into the Arts part of my life. I used to be big into writing, drawing, painting and most recently photography. In one of my posts I talk about losing my mojo when it comes to photography, and well it still hasn't returned.

However, I have been thinking of getting back into drawing. When I used to live in my apartment I would sit there and doodle for hours. I'd have a couple candles lit, music playing and incense floating in the air, with me propped some place comfy with my easel in front of me. I came across my easel the other day and all my lovely sketching pencils are still safely inside. Now, all I have to do is think of something to sketch!

I tell ya, my Art mojo is GONE! Where did it go and how do I get it back? I suppose one thing I could try to do is sit there in front of my easel with a pencil in my hand and meditate. See if something pops into my hollow head.

Any thoughts?

Hi, It's the new Anonymous again. I haven't figured out an online name for myself yet but when I do I'll be something better than Anonymous!

Baby hormones take away everything that's in our heads. Your "Mojo" will come back. Why don't you sketch your son as he sleeps or something like that? I've always wanted to be able to draw my kids however I don't have an artistic bone in my body.

It'll all come back - it always does.

Welcome back & Thanks! I hope it comes back too.

My Sister-in-law actually asked me just yesterday if I would do a sketch of her niece & nephew for her sister's wedding gift. I am looking foward to doing it. Once it's done and I have her permission, I might post the drawing.

I am wanting to do one of my son too...just thinking of a good picture to use. (That one I will definitely post)

I'm getting excited! Hehe.

hey hey.
why dont u try going out and writing about the feelings u get from your surroundings. i do that alot. i go to a place like city center (cuz it overlooks downtown) or by the river valley or something and write down or draw pictures to tell a story about the feelings associated with what u see. nature is so inspirational. works for me. luv ya!
