Sad Times

Sorry to be a downer, but for those 3 people who read this thing, I just thought I would let you know that nothing amusing or entertaining will be coming from me for the next little while.

My Great Aunt has recently fallen ill with pneumonia and lately taken a turn for the worse. We had just found out yesterday that 2 weeks ago she suffered her third stroke. They didn't find this out until they performed tests on her for other things. She has been released from the hospital and is back in her nursing home, because there is nothing more the hospital can do for her. Her breathing is labored and she is unable to eat or drink anything due to the fact that it all ends up in her lungs, causing her to choke.

It is now just a matter of time.

My Great Uncle & Cousin are having a very tough time with all this, and we are afraid that it won't be long before his health fails with the loss of hers. It is just all too familiar and heartbreaking to watch My Grandpa, My husband's Poppa and now My Great Uncle all become empty at the loss of their beloved Wives, all of which they have spent 50+ years together. I can only hope to have part of that great love they have shared with one another for all those years.

It's been hard on the family and has caused me to reflect on other loved ones who have passed.

She would be 90 this year, come July.

I wish I could say that I hope to have better news regarding this, but I'm afraid that won't be the case. I will keep you posted.
